Hi. It seems that internal resonator of your mega is not running exactly at 8MHz. It may have a few kHz more or less and it gives bad timing for UART transmision.

Yes. it works on known working patient chip (atmega8). and it can reset fusebit.
am using mega8 as doc to repair mega8.

Jednak w komentarzach Pisze pan że nie będzie on działał z doctorem. Jak to rzeczywiście jest? ;)

Nie będzie. Projekt miał liczne aktualizacje w których zmieniany był także bitrate UARTu i w końcu skończyło się na 4800 których ten konwerter nie obsługuje. W tekście może być kilka nieścisłościr.
Jednak polecam odwiedzić stronę autora bo wygląda na to że projekt miał jakąś aktualizację i może doszły inne prędkości.
