Ten kondensator jest tam dodany profilaktycznie, urządzenie powinno działać bez niego. Ale możesz wlutować dowolny inny, jednak nie większy jak 100nF (czas narastania i opadania napięcia).

Witam
Zbudowałem twój układ i wystąpił mały problem . Kupiłem nową atmege8 , zaprogramowałem i w stanie bezczynności świeci czerwona dioda , wiec wsadziłem starego zablokowanego atmege 8 i po wcisnieciu przycisku start zielony mrugnął lekko 2 razy i tyle a potem czerwony znow sie zapalił . Sprawdzalem napięcia i wszystkie są w porządku , ścieżki także sprawdzałe wielokrotnie i nie widze zeby gdzieś były przerwy także testowalem miernikiem . Nie wiem w czym jest błąd i prosil bym o małą pomoc w rozwiazaniu tegoż problemu .

A wiec dalej sprawdzałem czy nie ma gdzies przerw w obwodzie i czy nie sa gdzies zimne luty lecz wszystko jest w 100 % porządku , podłączałem nawet sprawne atmega8 i 16 lecz dalej czerwone , tylko i wyłacznie na te attiny13 dziala

Jednak pomoc juz jest zbędna , znalazlem problem okazało się ze jeden pin podstawki doktora byl pekniety i nie bylo pelnego styku a jeden nowy rezystor 1Kohm byl fabrycznie uszkodzony (brak przejscia)
Teraz wszystko jest w pełni sprawne i uratował juz moje dwie atmegi ;]

Hi, i am a newbie in programming AVR. And surely i have had 3 of my atmega1284p as dead because of chosing wrong fuse options. And nowadays i established your doctor circuit on a protoboard twice with the hex code programmed an atmega8. For My second try , i have done it. 2 atmega1284 is now alive anyway. In this way i had been tested last version on atmega1284p and nice work!
Yet, third one is still dead, maybe some wire mistakes can be core problem. (We all know that working on protoboard is often unstable)
Very soon i am gonna have a new circuit of fuse doctor on a pcb. i think it’s vital of having one for all newbie avr freaks. In short, Thnk u very much for the project , manekinen…

Hi manekinen,
it turns out that the 2.11 firmware is unable to recognize the ATmega328 (or other chips from the ATmega8 family), once the DWEN or the RSTDISBL fuse has been activated. It seems that the odd behaviour was not caused by a bug in manekinen’s firmware, but by a hardware error (that apparently my firmware was able to get around): There was a connection between R25 and ground missing. One wonders why the whole board was working at all.

Hi, i practicaly set the circuit defined by this site. Neither i used any other different scheme nor i provided myself a new circuit. Directly, i used the last version scheme of manekinen on a protoboard. Firstly u have to program an atmega8 by using hex file in the zip file, then set the scheme. It has done to me clean. Thats all. Hello Manekinen,
i have build the AVR doctor.Thank you for sharing this project with us.
It seems i have a problem with LEDs sequence. When i try to reset a new/good ATmega8 (pacient) the two LED’s are blinking for 500ms then are turned off, and if pacient can not be recovered /it is bad the both are „on” permanently. It seems that this is not of any state described by you in FAQ criteria.
Do you have any suggestion for this?

Cześć,
zbudowałem powyższy układ "na pająka" bez RS-232 oraz z podstawką pod procesory 28-pinowe i zadziałał on "od pierwszego razu". Jeżeli komuś coś nie działa to należy bardzo dokładnie po kilka razy prześledzić poprawność połączeń, zimne luty, zwarcia etc. Dla autora projektu ślę ukłony i wyrazu szacunku za stworzenie i UDOSTĘPNIENIE tak wartościowego układu.

Does fuse doctor work ok with other known good patient? If yes, and if you entered signature bytes by hand and still nothing, then you can be pretty sure that this one is dead.
